Week Beginning January 24, 2010

Several people are in need of prayer this week:

My friend Joan lost her sister, Phyllis, and will be attending her wake on Saturday.

Mary Ann fell outside and is in the hospital recovering. She isn't capable of taking care of her own needs anymore due to serious health problems but has been unable to get admitted to a nursing home.

Debbie is lonely and awaiting clearance to be a regular visitor at the local nursing home.

Gizzie was denied unemployment again, and there is no further appeal available. She is in danger of losing her home, and quite depressed.

Joyce is having an angiogram, and possible angioplasty in her legs this week. The pain is severe, but there is danger in the procedure as she is allergic to the dye (or whatever that stuff is) used for the test.

Ted is still awaiting the results of an interview for a job as a local policeman. He is a kind, concientious young man that would be an asset in any job.

Alycia is visitng colleges to see where she feels most suited for attending school in the fall. She is an honor student, accepted everywhere she's applied, so the decision is hers to make.

Troy is struggling financially and with his faith. He needs a better job and good friends.

And he opened his mouth, and taught them, saying, Blessed are the poor in spirit: for theirs is the kindom of heaven. Blessed are they that mourn: for they shall be comforted. Blessed are the meek: for they shall inherit the earth. (Matthew 5:2-5 KJV)
